The Staff Talent Tree allows you to upgrade your coaching staff, providing team-wide boosts and unlocking new features. You earn 'Staff Points' by completing weekly goals and winning games. The tree is divided into categories for your Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and Player Personnel. Each category offers unique benefits:
- Head Coach: Focuses on XP gain, player morale, and game planning boosts.
- Offensive Coordinator: Boosts offensive player XP, unlocks new offensive play calls, and improves offensive scheme fit.
- Defensive Coordinator: Boosts defensive player XP, unlocks new defensive play calls, and improves defensive scheme fit.
- Player Personnel: Improves scouting, trade logic, and free agency success.
Prioritize unlocking nodes that align with your team's needs. If you have a young roster, invest in XP gain nodes. If you struggle with scouting, upgrade your Player Personnel.
Hiring & Firing Coordinators
Your Offensive and Defensive Coordinators play a crucial role. They come with specific scheme fits (e.g., 'West Coast Offense', '3-4 Defense') and talent trees. Hiring coordinators that match your team's personnel and your preferred playstyle will maximize player performance and development. Don't hesitate to fire underperforming coordinators if they aren't contributing to your team's success or if a better option becomes available.
