Stealth is the cornerstone of Metal Gear Solid Delta. The Camouflage Index is your primary indicator of how well you are hidden. It's a percentage value, with 100% being completely invisible to enemies (though not impossible to detect if they get too close). To maximize your Camouflage Index, you need to match your uniform and face paint to your environment. Open the Survival Viewer (accessed via the main menu or a quick-access button) to change your gear. For example, wearing 'Leaf' camo in a jungle environment will provide a high index, while 'Tiger Stripe' might be better for rocky areas. Crawling through tall grass or hiding behind cover also significantly boosts your stealth. Remember, noise also plays a factor; running through leaves will alert nearby guards even if your camo is perfect. Always aim for the highest possible Camouflage Index for successful infiltration.
