Time-Warped Mechanics

In MetaMorph, time-warped mechanics involve navigating surreal environments and interacting with unique elements. You'll encounter challenges like crossing chasms with pencils and utilizing fliers to traverse levels. The game often presents choices, such as whether to go with Titorelli's assistant or alone, influencing your path through the Village and Tower levels. These mechanics require careful observation and strategic decision-making to advance.

The game features distinct levels with their own mechanics:

  • The Village: Focuses on social interactions and choices, such as finding Titorelli, dealing with squatters, and gathering a workforce. You can choose to go with Titorelli's assistant or alone to remove squatters, and ask either the priest or Leni for help with the workforce.
  • The Tower: Involves finding the bug in charge and reaching the Verdict Box. The final decision here offers two routes: destroying the Tower or sealing Josef's fate.
  • The Procedure: Features mechanical puzzles. You'll need to navigate a hallway past a bureaucrat, use a 'Tower' flier, cross a chasm with a pencil, and interact with intellectual bugs to find a conveyor belt. This level includes sections like the processor, furnace, pistons, and robot.
  • Strange Corridors: Begins in a corridor and includes a Mushroom Forest and Suspending Bridge. You'll encounter psychedelic effects from mushrooms, allowing you to climb their hats and wall shrooms.
  • Lawyer's Office: Requires getting inside the Gramophone, turning off the music, and finding three certificates. You'll need to talk to an insect smoking to learn about the Gramophone Club and a yellowish bug next to a pencil for certificate information.
