Kraid is a large, green, reptilian creature. His primary attacks involve spitting projectiles and occasionally extending his claws. The key to defeating Kraid is to aim your Missiles at his open mouth. He will periodically open his mouth, revealing his weak point. Dodge his projectiles by jumping or crouching, and fire missiles whenever his mouth is exposed. It takes a significant number of missiles to defeat him, so ensure your missile count is high. After defeating Kraid, a path will open, often leading to a new area or a crucial power-up that allows further progression.
