Velkhana, the "Ice-Veiled Dragon," is a majestic and formidable Elder Dragon introduced in the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion. This creature commands ice with unparalleled mastery, creating treacherous icy terrain and unleashing devastating frost attacks that can freeze hunters in their tracks.

Velkhana is primarily encountered in the Glacial Iceborne's new region, the Hoarfrost Reach. Its body is adorned with crystalline ice formations, and it emanates an aura of intense cold. Its attacks are characterized by their speed, precision, and the chilling effect they inflict, which can slow down your movement and even freeze you solid.

Velkhana's sature move is its ability to generate ice. It can create pillars of ice from the ground, which can trap hunters or act as obstacles. It also unleashes beams of ice that can freeze you solid, leaving you vulnerable to follow-up attacks. Its tail attacks are also enhanced with ice, capable of inflicting frostbite, which slows your stamina recovery and movement speed.

One of Velkhana's most dangerous attacks is its "ice breath," where it exhales a massive wave of freezing mist that covers a wide area. When it charges this attack, you'll see it rear its head back and gather ice energy. Dodging this requires precise timing and positioning.
