(3F) CHAPTER 3: SUB-ZERO

The scene opens at the Lin Kuei temple, showing Kuai Liang (Sub-Zero) restored to life and seated on the Grandmaster's throne.

Two Lin Kuei members report to Sub-Zero about four intruders and that forward defenses have been stood down.

Sub-Zero declares it is time to entertain their guests.

The scene shifts outside the Lin Kuei temple, where Team S-F (Cassie Cage, Takeda Takahashi, Kung Jin, and Jacqui Briggs) has arrived at the rendezvous point.

Cassie assigns Takeda and Kung Jin to one side, while she and Jacqui prepare to approach the entrance.

Sub-Zero and four Lin Kuei students exit the temple and kneel in meditation before the statue of the First Grandmaster.

Kung Jin disobeys Cassie's order to wait and confronts Sub-Zero, prompting Cassie and the others to follow.

Sub-Zero, without looking up from his meditation, tells them they are not welcome and asks for their intentions.

Cassie identifies herself as Sergeant and asks Sub-Zero to come with them.

Lin Kuei students bark a command in Chinese, and reinforcements surround Team S-F, outnumbering them approximately 5 to 1.

Sub-Zero stands and questions their next move, given they are surrounded.

Cassie mentions her father spoke highly of Sub-Zero and that he wants to talk.

Kung Jin decides to fight and charges the Lin Kuei.

Warning: Sub-Zero attacks Cassie, who attempts to block his blows. He knees her, blocks her kicks, headbutts her, and throws her to the ground.

Cassie draws her sidearm, but Sub-Zero freezes it with an ice ball.

Sub-Zero fights Cassie, noting her resemblance to her mother, and defeats her.

Takeda attacks Sub-Zero from behind with a spinkick. Sub-Zero blocks and punches Takeda, who eventually lands a spinning downwards kick that appears to shatter Sub-Zero into ice shards.

Sub-Zero reappears behind Takeda and dropkicks him.

Sub-Zero fights Takeda, mentioning Kenshi taught him to use his powers, and defeats him.

Jacqui Briggs attempts to punch Sub-Zero from behind, but he anticipates her and sweeps her legs.

Jacqui lands several hits on Sub-Zero, including a superman punch that staggers him.

Jacqui mentions her father and their shared dark history with Sub-Zero.

Sub-Zero fights Jacqui, and despite her powered gauntlets, he defeats her.

Jacqui recovers and lands a spinkick and several other hits, stunning Sub-Zero and forcing him to one knee.

A Lin Kuei ninja charges Jacqui, forcing her to disengage.

Kung Jin throws and judo throws Lin Kuei members.
