Steep hills are a major obstacle on Island. When ascending, engage AWD and Diff Lock, and use a low gear. Maintain a steady throttle to avoid losing traction. If your truck struggles, try a slightly different angle or use the winch to assist. When descending, use engine braking (low gear) and gentle brake applications to control your speed. Avoid sudden steering inputs, which can lead to rollovers.
