Pascal

Begin in the desert; your mission is to find a fuel filter. Pod recommends the Resistance Camp.

Save your game and reach the Resistance Camp entrance. Assist Pascal in eliminating nearby adversaries.

Speak with Pascal. You will be given the choice to leave him alive or kill him.

Enter the rebel hideaway and speak with Anemone twice. Access suppliers and potentially start side missions.

Head towards the barricade outside the city's ruins (fast travel is not available). Pascal will explain the required component for the filter.

Fast travel to Pascal's location in the Forest Zone. Be cautious of neighborhood machines.

Locate Rigid Tree Bark behind glowing loot at the foot of a large tree. Use it to get a fuel filter from Pascal.

A2 will be tasked with the side quest 'Vanquish the Bad Bot' to help the village children. You can also assist with 'Play With Us!' side missions.

To start 'Play With Us!', agree to deliver a book from Anemone to the Outdoor Machine. Obtain 'Book: Pensees' and Gold Ore from Anemone at the Resistance Camp.

After a brief Pascal cutscene, you'll hear a radio message about the machine village being in danger. Save your game.

Head to the Machine Village barricade. The machines are fighting, and Pascal is present. He will permit you to attack them.

Engage mechanical worms and ground-fighting devices. Lock onto the yellow center of flying adversaries for effective attacks. Check lower levels using ladders.

After the battle, listen to Pascal's message about machines retreating to the abandoned factory. Fast travel there.

Save your game upon arrival at the factory entrance and meet Pascal.

In the factory, new infected machines will appear. Attack them immediately.

More hostile machines will materialize outside the plant. Use Berserk mode or Pod programs for weak opponents.

The Goliath Tank will join the conflict. Destroy its mounted weapons to prevent attacks. Berserk mode is also effective.

After the tank battle, a cutscene shows giant goliaths arriving. You will control one of them as Pascal.

As the Goliath, destroy incoming enemy flying planes with furious strikes and upper-limb swings.

The boss Goliath Engels appears. Attack first to prevent its initial strike. Block its punches if it lands an assault.

Continue attacking Engels to break its armor pieces and defeat it.

Return to the factory's production room as Pascal and witness a horrifying realization.

Play as A2 again and speak to Pascal. He will ask you to remove his memories. Choose the bottom-level dialog option ('Right... Do it'). This allows you to buy the 'Machine Heads' weapon in Chapter 15.

The process of erasing Pascal's memory involves a mini-hacking game where you destroy black balls.

If playing as 9S and new levels are available, select the 9S option in the window to join them. Otherwise, the campaign proceeds.
