Your Exosuit is equipped with systems to shield you from extreme temperatures, radiation, toxic atmospheres, and corrosive elements, but these systems require maintenance and upgrades.

Thermal Protection: This protects you from extreme heat and cold. Planets with extreme heat will have a red hazard icon, while extreme cold will have a blue icon. Your Exosuit's base thermal protection can be augmented with Thermal Modules. Recharge your protection using a Heat Capacitor (for hot planets) or a Cold Bulb (for cold planets), or by crafting Hazard Protection Batteries.

Radiation Protection: Planets with high radiation levels will display a yellow hazard icon. Prolonged exposure can damage your Exosuit. Radiation protection is enhanced by Radiation Modules. Recharge your protection using a Radiation Emitter or by crafting Hazard Protection Batteries.

Toxic Protection: Toxic planets are indicated by a green hazard icon and feature poisonous atmospheres and flora. Toxic protection is bolstered by Toxic Modules. Recharge your protection using a Toxic Filter or by crafting Hazard Protection Batteries.

Corrosive Protection: Planets with corrosive atmospheres or environments will show a purple hazard icon. Corrosive protection is provided by Corrosive Modules. Recharge your protection using a Corrosive Gas Canister or by crafting Hazard Protection Batteries.

  • Hazard Protection Batteries: These are universal recharge items that can be crafted using Carbon and Sodium. They are invaluable for quick top-ups in the field.
  • Resource-Specific Rechargers: Items like Heat Capacitors, Radiation Emitters, Toxic Filters, and Corrosive Gas Canisters can be found or crafted and provide a more substantial recharge for their respective hazard types.
