No Man's Sky revolves around resource gathering and crafting. Resources are categorized into several types:
- Basic Elements: Carbon, Ferrite Dust, Oxygen, Sodium, Di-hydrogen. Found almost everywhere.
- Advanced Elements: Copper, Cadmium, Emeril, Indium. Found in specific star systems or refined from basic elements.
- Gases: Nitrogen, Sulphurine, Radon. Harvested from atmospheric harvesters or specific gas vents.
- Biological Resources: Fungal Mould, Cactus Flesh, Solanium, Star Bulb. Found on specific biomes.
- Manufactured Components: Microprocessors, Wiring Looms, Hermetic Seals. Crafted from other resources or purchased.
Crafting is done through your inventory or the quick menu. Select an empty slot or an existing item to see what can be crafted. Recipes are learned through quests, blueprints, or purchasing from vendors.
