Lore Collectibles Guide
Uncovering the universe's hidden narratives is a rewarding endeavor in No Man's Sky. Scattered across planets and within derelict structures are various lore collectibles that piece together the rich tapestry of the game's universe. These can range from ancient alien monoliths to data logs left behind by previous explorers or even the remnants of forgotten civilizations. Interacting with these objects often provides insights into the lore of the various alien races, such as the Gek, Korvax, and Vy'keen, and their histories, conflicts, and philosophies. Some collectibles might offer clues about the nature of the Atlas or the Sentinels. Scanning these points of interest with your Analysis Visor is the primary method of discovery. Monoliths, in particular, are often found in ruins and can offer players a choice, with correct answers leading to knowledge of alien words, valuable artifacts, or even upgrades. Incorrect choices can sometimes result in negative consequences, such as damage to your Exosuit or attracting Sentinel attention. Data logs are frequently found in abandoned buildings, crashed freighters, or within abandoned Research Outposts. These logs can provide snippets of personal stories, scientific findings, or warnings about planetary hazards. Collecting these lore fragments not only enriches the player's understanding of the game world but can also provide small gameplay benefits, such as Nanites or even rare crafting components. Keep an eye out for glowing markers on your HUD when scanning, as these often indicate points of interest, including lore collectibles. The sheer number of planets, estimated at 18,000,000,000,000,000,000, means that each discovery feels unique and personal.
