Section 11 - VS Mode (Menus and Unlocking Characters) [S11V]

Learn how to unlock all characters in One Piece Treasure Cruise's VS Mode, including Strawhats, enemies, and bosses, by completing story mode and Boss Rush.

This section covers the VS Mode menus and character unlocking in One Piece Treasure Cruise. While fun with friends, the VS mode can be played against the computer with adjustable settings.

VS Mode Menu Options:

• Start: Begins a VS match.
• CPU LEVEL: Sets the computer opponent's difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard).
• Time Limit: Sets the match duration (60, 90, or Infinite seconds).
• Player 1 Handicap: Adjusts Player 1's starting strength (Weak, Normal, Strong).
• Player 2 Handicap: Adjusts Player 2's starting strength (Weak, Normal, Strong).
• Restore Default Settings: Resets all settings to their defaults (Yes/No).

In Battle Pause Menu Options:

• Return to Game: Resumes the current match.
• Move List: Displays available character moves.
• Return to Character Select: Goes back to the character selection screen (Yes/No).
• Return to Title Screen: Exits the VS mode entirely (Yes/No).

In the character select screen, you can pick multiple fighters as long as their combined number values do not exceed 10. The number value is displayed at the bottom right of each character's portrait.

VS Mode Characters and their Values:

Row 1: Luffy (5), Zoro (4), Nami (3), Ussop (3), Sanji (4), Chopper (3), Robin (4), Franky (4), Brooke (4)

Row 2: Nightmare Luffy (5), Kuro (3), Blackbeard (5), Buggy (3), Random, Moria (5), Wapol (3), Kuma (5), Monster Chopper (4)

Row 3: Ace (4), Enel (4), Aokiji (5), Arlong (3), Calgara (5), Spandam (3), Don Kreig (3), Unlimited Adventure Final Boss (4), Unlimited Cruise Final Boss (4)

Row 4: Generic Marine Enemies, Generic Zombie Enemies, Generic Sky Island Enemies, Generic Pirate Enemies, Generic Guardian Enemies

Unlocking Characters:

• Strawhats: All start unlocked except Nightmare Luffy.
• Generic Enemies: Unlocked by collecting all map pieces they drop.
• Most Other Characters: Unlocked by beating them in story mode. This includes Kuro, Blackbeard, Buggy, Moria, Wapol, Monster Chopper, Ace, Enel, Aokiji, Spandam, Don Kreig, Unlimited Adventure Final Boss.
• Kuma and Unlimited Cruise Final Boss: Unlocked by beating them in story mode on Hard difficulty.
• Arlong and Calgara: Unlocked in Boss Rush mode at rounds 10 and 20, respectively.
