Prioritize the Tutorial Quests

The tutorial quests, displayed in the top right corner, are your best friend. They guide you through gathering, crafting, building your first Palbox, and catching your first Pal. Completing these quests grants experience and unlocks new technologies.

Gather Everything

In the early game, collect every Stone, Wood, and Paldium Fragment you see. These are fundamental resources for crafting tools, weapons, and base structures. Chop down trees, mine rocks, and pick up loose items.

Craft Essential Tools

Your first crafts should be a Stone Pickaxe and a Stone Axe. These significantly speed up resource gathering. Next, craft a Workbench and then a Primitive Workbench to unlock more crafting options.

Catch Pals Early and Often

Pals are not just companions; they are your workforce, combatants, and mounts. Aim to catch at least 10 of each early-game Pal (Lamball, Cattiva, Chikipi, Foxparks) for the experience bonus and to have a diverse workforce for your base. Remember to craft Pal Spheres!

Build Your First Base

The Palbox is the heart of your base. Place it in a relatively flat area near resources. Once placed, you can assign Pals to work on tasks like logging, mining, and crafting. Expand your base as you unlock new technologies and need more space for structures.

Manage Hunger and Stamina

Your character and your Pals have hunger meters. Keep them fed to maintain their health and work efficiency. Stamina is consumed by running, jumping, and dodging; let it regenerate before engaging in strenuous activities.
