The Palbox is more than just a storage unit for your Pals; it's the central hub of your base. Placing a Palbox establishes your base's boundaries, within which your assigned Pals will work. You can have multiple bases as you progress, each with its own Palbox.

Palbox Functions:

  • Pal Storage: Store excess Pals here. You can withdraw them to your party or assign them to your base.
  • Base Management: View your base's level, assigned Pals, and current tasks.
  • Pal Assignment: Pick up a Pal and throw it at a structure (e.g., a Logging Site, Stone Pit, or Farm) to assign it to that task. Pals have different Work Suitabilities (e.g., Kindling, Watering, Planting, Handiwork, Mining, Logging, Transporting, Generating Electricity, Gathering, Medicine Production, Cooling, Farming) which determine what tasks they are good at.
  • Base Leveling: Complete objectives listed in the Palbox menu (e.g., build certain structures, catch more Pals) to level up your base. Each level increases the number of Pals you can assign to work and unlocks new technologies.

Effective base management involves strategically assigning Pals based on their Work Suitabilities to maximize resource production and crafting efficiency. Ensure your Pals have enough food and comfortable beds to maintain their Sanity (SAN) and prevent them from getting sick or depressed.
