Description:
Weapons are essential for both combat against wild Pals and Syndicate enemies. They range from simple melee tools to advanced firearms and powerful explosives.
Weapon Tiers:
- Primitive (Early Game): Stone Axe, Stone Pickaxe (can be used as melee), Wooden Club, Old Bow. Low damage, but easy to craft.
- Early Ranged: Crossbow, Single-shot Rifle. Requires more advanced materials but offers better damage and range.
- Mid-Game Firearms: Musket, Pump-action Shotgun, Assault Rifle. Significant damage increase, requires Ingots and Gunpowder.
- Late-Game Firearms: Rocket Launcher, Legendary Assault Rifle, Legendary Shotgun. Extremely high damage, requires Refined Ingots, Polymer, and advanced crafting stations.
Ammunition:
Most ranged weapons require specific ammunition (e.g., Arrows, Coarse Ammo, Shotgun Shells, Rifle Ammo, Rocket Ammo). Always keep a good supply crafted at your Weapon Workbench or Production Line.
Strategy:
Upgrade your weapons as soon as you unlock new technologies. Ranged weapons are generally safer for engaging strong Pals. Explosives (Grenades, Rocket Launcher) are excellent for dealing area-of-effect damage or breaking large resource nodes.
