Master Panzer Dragoon Remake's levels with our comprehensive guides. Learn enemy patterns, boss strategies, and secret routes for 100% completion.
The biggest tip for getting good shot down %'s is to actually watch the radar more then the screen. As soon as you see a yellow dot on the radar rotate around to it an blast it out of the sky, continuously watching the radar for any new blips. You're going to have to be fast in your camera rotating, which is another other key, because it often moves slowly or not at all if you press L or R twice too rapidly. Try to play through every level multiple times before you go for a total 100% game and MEMORIZE it, try to have your camera rotated towards the next enemy group BEFORE the enemy even appears and shot it down as fast as possible. Memorize, memorize, memorize...
A slight strategy for Panzer Zwei ONLY is to just take the easiest route. If you're just going for 100% on every stage then don't worry about the Route Points and take the easiest route with the least amount of enemies. Or you can be hardcore and still do it by taking the harder routes...

SPOILER WARNING - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Without any second thought Lundi and Lagi decide to follow the enormous white ship that murdered so many of his friends and family with the simple task of revenge on Lundi's mind. Their chase took them right through the rubble of the village where Lundi found a working gun among the wreckage. After entering the village a mysterious dragon showed up and then attacked Lagi, clipping him in the air after taking flight to chase after the white ship. Was the other dragon protecting the ship?
A little before the attack on his village in the Empire's Capital City of Teito, the Emperor had decided to make his move and chase the mysterious white ship that had also been sighted by them for reasons only the Emperor knew.
It was later theorized after an investigation that the Shellcoof, the name that was given to the ancient white ship, seemed to react to the presence of all the Coolias in the village and attacked them. Later the Shellcoof was also basically accepted as being a floating Tower and the Guardian Dragon was it's protector.
IIIa2...Level guide - The Destroyed Elpis Village
Episode 1 is a basic starting level with no real tricky parts or points (Clear, Route, or Tech) to earn. So just fool around and get used to everything if you have never played a Panzer game before.
Right when you get control of Lagi nail the 4 flying guys in front of you then use Lundi's gun to destroy the shed on your right. Throughout this whole level there are a ton of destroyable items that give you points, sheds and wind mills and stuff like that so anytime you have a chance to nail something do it. There is a cool secret way to get tons of points on this stage but I'll tell you about it later.
After walking forward a little more 2 more flying enemies will be in front of you with another shed to the right again and 2 straight ahead near where one of the flying things was.
A few more steps afterwards a cinema will happen and the dragon will fly in front of you and up to the Shellcoof, dropping a huge boulder behind you. As soon as you get control again keep hitting the boulder with your regular gun (you face it automatically) until it blows up. In it's wake 3 more flying guys will fly out of where its center was so be ready and use your laser on them.
Lagi will run for a little while longer between some buildings then get to a slightly open area in which there will be 3 more flying guys flying around a shed.
Keep facing forward and shoot the stationary enemy that will appear before you. These enemies take 6 lock-ons to kill and they only have 2 lock-on points each so you'll have to lock-on to it 3 times to kill them (the Hatchling's max lock-on is 2). After it's destroyed quickly switch to the right view...see that big black ship in the sky flying past you? That's your gold mine. Quickly turn forward and kill the next 2 stationary enemies that appear ahead of you then IMMEDIATLY switch to your left view and shoot your brains out, nailing the black ship with as many regular bullets as possible and watch the score (if you have full instruments turned on in the options) grow. Watch your radar because there's going to be another stationary enemy appearing in front of you soon so take a break and kill it then return to shooting the black ship.
For the entire rest of the level just keep shooting the ship nonstop. An enemy will appear ahead of you but you can't hurt it (it's the Episode 3 boss) and it won't hit you so don't even look, just keep shooting the ship. Stage over.
