Persona Compendium

The Persona Compendium is your invaluable resource for managing and recalling Personas in Persona 3 Reload. Accessible via the Velvet Room, it allows you to register newly acquired Personas, summon previously registered ones, and track your overall Persona collection progress. Mastering the Compendium is crucial for efficient Persona fusion and optimizing your combat strategies.

Accessing the Compendium

To access the Persona Compendium:

  1. Enter the Velvet Room. This can be done at the entrance of Tartarus or by visiting the Velvet Room door in the Paulownia Mall.
  2. Speak with Igor or Elizabeth/Theodore.
  3. Select the "Persona Compendium" option from the menu.

Registering Personas

Whenever you obtain a new Persona, either through Shuffle Time in Tartarus or via fusion, it is automatically registered in the Compendium at its current level and with its current skill set. However, if you level up a Persona or teach it new skills, its Compendium entry will become outdated. To update its entry:

  • Manual Registration:
    • Navigate to the Persona Compendium menu.
    • Select the Persona you wish to update.
    • Choose the "Register" option. You will be prompted to overwrite the existing entry. Confirm to save the Persona's current state.
  • Automatic Registration (End of Day):
    • At the end of each day, the game will automatically prompt you to register any Personas in your possession that have gained levels or learned new skills since their last registration. This is a convenient way to keep your Compendium up-to-date without constant manual checks.
    • Pro-Tip: Always register Personas after significant level gains or skill changes, especially before using them as fusion material. This ensures you can summon them back with their improved stats and abilities later.

Summoning Personas

The primary function of the Compendium is to summon Personas you've previously registered. This is essential for:

  • Reacquiring Fusion Material: If you've used a Persona for fusion but need it back for a different recipe, you can summon it.
  • Filling Gaps: If you accidentally discard a Persona or need a specific one for a Social Link boost, the Compendium is your go-to.
  • Completing the Compendium: To achieve 100% Compendium completion, you'll often need to summon Personas you've fused away.

To summon a Persona:

  1. Access the Persona Compendium.
  2. Browse or search for the desired Persona.
  3. Select the Persona and choose the "Summon" option.
  4. You will be charged a fee in Yen, which increases with the Persona's level and rarity.

Important Note: Summoned Personas will always appear at the level and with the skills they had when they were last registered. If you summon a Persona and then level it up, remember to re-register it to save its new state.

Compendium Completion Rewards

Striving for 100% Compendium completion offers significant rewards:

  • Theodore/Elizabeth Request: Completing the Compendium is a key request from Elizabeth (or Theodore on New Game+). Fulfilling this request will grant you the Omnipotent Orb, an incredibly powerful accessory that nullifies all elemental and physical damage (excluding Almighty). This item is a game-changer for the toughest challenges.
  • Fusion Experience Boost: A higher Compendium completion percentage provides a bonus to the experience points gained by newly fused Personas. This means your fused Personas will start at higher levels, potentially inheriting more skills and being more immediately useful.
  • Reduced Summoning Costs: As your Compendium percentage increases, the cost to summon Personas from it will gradually decrease, making it more affordable to experiment with fusion.

Strategies for Efficient Compendium Management

  • Prioritize New Personas: Always aim to obtain new Personas through Shuffle Time or fusion to expand your Compendium. The more Personas you have registered, the more fusion options become available.
  • use Fusion Forecast: Check the Fusion Forecast in the Velvet Room for special fusion events that can result in Personas with unique skills or stat bonuses. Register these enhanced Personas immediately.
  • Social Link Bonuses: Personas fused with a maxed-out Social Link of their corresponding Arcana will receive a significant experience boost, often allowing them to start at a much higher level and learn powerful skills early. Register these powerful versions.
  • Money Management: Summoning high-level Personas can be expensive. Ensure you have a healthy supply of Yen, especially when aiming for specific fusion recipes or 100% completion. Farming in Tartarus is an excellent way to earn money.
