Status Ailments can be inflicted on almost every character in Persona 3 Reload, with the exception of some enemies and bosses.
Status Ailments:
- Down: Character receives about 10% more damage. Evasion becomes 0. Occurs when hit by weakness or critical hit. There is a chance of Dizzy when hit. There is a higher chance of Dizzy from a melee attack.
- Dizzy: Character will miss their next turn. There is an increased chance of receiving Critical Hits.
- Freeze: Character cannot act. There is a guaranteed Critical Hit from Physical attacks and Skills.
- Shock: Character cannot act.
- Poison: Character loses 20% of Max HP every turn. This ailment will not recover naturally.
- Rage: Character will always use melee attacks and will attack a random enemy. Damage dealt and damage received is doubled. Accuracy is halved.
- Charm: Character will either attack an ally, or use a healing/support Skill on an enemy.
- Confuse: Character will either use a random item, throw away money, or do nothing.
- Fear: There is a high chance of the character doing nothing. There is a small chance of running away, if possible. The MC (Main Character) cannot run away.
- Distress: Damage dealt is reduced. Evasion becomes 0. There is an increased chance of receiving Critical Hits.
