Fusion

Normal Spread: Fuse two Personas. The resulting Persona's Arcana is determined by the combination of the ingredients' Arcana. The resulting Persona's level is calculated by: (Base Level of Persona 1 + Base Level of Persona 2) / 2 + 1. You will obtain the lowest level Persona of the resulting Arcana that is higher than the calculated level. For example, fusing Legion (Fool, Level 21) and Agathion (Magician, Level 3) results in an Empress Arcana Persona. The calculation is (21 + 3) / 2 + 1 = 13. The resulting Persona will be Titania (Level 19), as it is the lowest level Empress Persona higher than 13.

Triangle Spread: Fuse three Personas. First, fuse two of the Personas using Normal Spread rules. The third Persona is the one with the highest current level among the three. The resulting Arcana is determined by the Arcana combination of the third Persona and the result of the initial Normal Spread fusion. The resulting Persona's level is calculated by: (Base Level of Persona 1 + Base Level of Persona 2 + Base Level of Persona 3) / 3 + 5. You will obtain the lowest level Persona of the resulting Arcana that is higher than or equal to the calculated level. For example, fusing Slime (Fool, Base 1, Current 3), Agathion (Magician, Base 3, Current 4), and Ame no Uzume (Priestess, Base 6, Current 6). Ame no Uzume is the third Persona. Fusing Slime and Agathion results in an Empress Arcana. Empress + Priestess in the Triangle Fusion chart yields a Justice Persona. The calculation is (1 + 3 + 6) / 3 + 5 = 8. The resulting Persona is Angel (Level 8).

Same Arcana Fusions: Fusing two Personas of the same Arcana results in a weaker Persona than the ingredients. Fusing three Personas of the same Arcana results in a stronger Persona than the ingredients.

Sacrificial Fusion: This option, unlocked later, allows you to sacrifice two Personas to give EXP to a third. Sometimes, sacrificing a Persona may yield an item.

Special Fusions: These require specific Persona combinations. For example, Alice can only be obtained by fusing Nebiros and Belial. Other Special Fusions include: Ardha (Shiva x Parvati), Beelzebub (Astaroth x Baal Zebul), Black Frost (Jack Frost x Pyro Jack x King Frost), Michael (Uriel x Gabriel x Raphael), Norn (Atropos x Clotho x Lachesis), Pale Rider (Red Rider x White Rider x Black Rider), Shiva (Rangda x Barong), and Zeus (Warrior Zeus x Seth).
