Hey there, future Dandori Master! So, you've stumbled upon the Dandori Challenges in Pikmin 4, huh? Think of these as special, timed missions where you'll prove your Pikmin-wrangling skills. They look like regular caves, but they're gray instead of blue, and a Leafling will pop out, ready to test you. Your main goal here is to rack up as many Dandori points as possible within the time limit. You do this by collecting enemy carcasses, treasures, and nuggets, and hauling them back to the S.S. Beagle. Every second you have left adds bonus points, so speed is key! Don't worry if you don't get everything on your first try. You only need a bronze medal to complete the challenge and rescue the Leafling. But if you're aiming for silver, gold, or even platinum, you'll need to be thorough. Just a heads-up: if you freeze an enemy with Ice Pikmin and then defeat it, its corpse disappears, costing you valuable points! So, be mindful of that. Remember, the treasures and materials you collect in these challenges aren't permanent – they're just for the challenge itself. The Pikmin you use also belong to the Leafling and can't be taken with you afterward. If you succeed, the Leafling will be amazed by your skills and reward you with 30 pieces of raw material. If you don't quite make it, don't sweat it! You'll still get some material for your efforts, especially on your first few tries. There are quite a few of these challenges scattered throughout the game, each with a 'Dandori Level' from 1 to 5, indicating its difficulty.
