Roxanne's team consists of two Rock-type Pokémon: a Level 12 Geodude and a Level 14 Nosepass. Both are pure Rock-types, making them vulnerable to Water and Grass-type attacks. Geodude has high Defense but low Special Defense, while Nosepass has high Defense and Special Defense. Nosepass's ability, Sturdy, means it cannot be knocked out in one hit from full HP, so be prepared for it to survive at least one super-effective attack. If you have a Mudkip, use Water Gun. If you have a Treecko, use Absorb. If you chose Torchic, consider catching a Lotad (Alpha Sapphire) on Route 102 or a Wingull on Route 103/104 and training it. Wingull's Water Gun will be very effective. Avoid using Normal, Flying, Bug, or Fire-type moves, as they will be resisted or ineffective. Focus on exploiting their weaknesses for a swift victory.
