Controls & Basic Movement — Post Trauma Guide

Mastering the controls is essential for navigating environments and engaging with puzzles. This includes character switching during boss fights and operating vehicle controls, such as the subway train. Understanding these mechanics will allow you to progress and influence the game's outcome.

  • Subway Train Controls:
    • To speed up the train: Use the directional pad to circle the handle to the left (press up).
    • To slow down the train: Use the directional pad to hold the handle to the right (press down).
    • Your choice here determines the ending: speeding up leads to Ending A (killing Jill), slowing down leads to Ending B (saving Jill).
  • Boss Fight Character Switching:
    • During the final boss fight against the "Abomination" in the arena, you can switch between Roman and Freya.
    • Tap the RB button when Roman is holding a lever to switch characters. Freya is positioned on a high walkway.
  • Dodging the Abomination:
    • The Abomination is a tentacle-like creature that slams the ground.
    • To dodge, simply run to the side; the attack is too fast to react to otherwise.
    • You can also reach the far sides of the arena where the boss cannot reach you.
  • Puzzle Interaction (Abomination):
    • The Abomination fight is a puzzle, not a direct combat encounter.
    • From the start, run toward the back wall to the left.
    • Stand near the collapsed (and cracked) pillar on the floor.
    • Allow the Abomination to slam its body onto the pillar to free a revolving mechanism.
    • Find a lever near the wall; the boss cannot hit Roman while he is near it.
