Welcome to the unsettling world of Post Trauma. This prologue serves as your introduction to the game's mechanics, atmosphere, and the chilling reality you've found yourself in. Pay close attention to environmental cues and item descriptions, as they often hold vital clues. Survival depends on your vigilance.

Waking Up in the Unknown

You begin your journey disoriented and trapped within a dimly lit, decaying room. Your immediate goal is to find a way out and understand your surroundings.

• Examine Your Immediate Area:
  • Bedside Table: Check the bedside table next to where you wake up. You'll find a Journal Entry (Page 1). This often provides crucial narrative context or hints for puzzles.
  • Door: Attempt to open the main door leading out of the room. It will be locked, indicating you need a key or another method of egress.
• Locating the Key:
  • Under the Mattress: Interact with the bed. You'll discover a small, tarnished Rusty Key hidden beneath the mattress. This is your ticket out of the initial room.
• Exiting the Room:
  • Use the Rusty Key on the locked door. The door will creak open, revealing a dark corridor.

The First Corridor

As you step into the corridor, the oppressive atmosphere intensifies. The lighting is poor, and strange noises might begin to echo. This is where you'll encounter your first environmental puzzle and learn about basic navigation.

• Navigating the Darkness:
  • Proceed cautiously down the corridor. Notice the flickering lights and the unsettling sounds.
  • First Door on the Left: This door is jammed or locked from the other side. Make a mental note of it, but don't waste too much time here for now.
• The Maintenance Closet:
  • Continue further down the corridor until you reach a slightly ajar door on the right. This is the Maintenance Closet.
  • Inside the Closet:
    • Flashlight: On a shelf near the entrance, you'll find a crucial item: the Durable Flashlight. Equip this immediately to improve visibility.
    • Loose Floorboard: Near the back wall, there's a loose floorboard. Interact with it to uncover a hidden Small Screwdriver. This will be vital for later progression.

Unlocking the Path Forward

With the flashlight and screwdriver in hand, you can now address the previously inaccessible areas.

• The Fused Breaker Box:
  • Return to the main corridor. Near the jammed door you previously encountered, you'll spot a Flickering Breaker Box on the wall.
  • Using the Screwdriver: Use the Small Screwdriver to pry open the cover of the Flickering Breaker Box.
  • Restoring Power: Inside, you'll find a single, obviously blown fuse. There's no spare here, but interacting with the box will cause a brief surge, and the jammed door will now be slightly ajar, indicating it's now accessible.
• Entering the Storage Room:
  • Push open the door that was previously jammed. This leads into a cluttered Storage Room.
  • Key Item Location: On a workbench in the center of the room, amidst various tools and discarded items, you will find a Heavy Duty Bolt Cutter. This is your next critical tool.

Escaping the Initial Area

The Heavy Duty Bolt Cutter is your ticket to the next section of the game.

• The Chained Exit:
  • Head back into the main corridor and continue past the Maintenance Closet. At the very end of the corridor, you'll find a heavily chained door.
  • Using the Bolt Cutters: Equip the Heavy Duty Bolt Cutter and use it on the chained door. The chains will snap with a loud clang, revealing a new path.
• Proceeding to the Next Area:
  • Step through the now unchained door. This marks the end of the prologue and the true beginning of your terrifying journey in Post Trauma. Be prepared; the horrors are only just beginning.
