Learn how to defeat Beholders and the Brute in Stellar Blade's Star Descent mission. Master combat, Beta Skills, and Perfect Parries to avenge the 7th Airborne Squad.

Alright, let's dive into the Star Descent mission in Stellar Blade. This is your first real taste of combat after the intro, and it's all about avenging the 7th Airborne Squad. You'll be dropped in with Tachy, and your main goal is to follow her lead and take down some nasty Naytiba.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
You start out in your Planet Diving Suit, ready to avenge the fallen. Your first task is to Follow Tachy to the Rendezvous Point. Don't stray or hang around – this is serious business.
  2. 2
Tachy will guide you through basic combat. Use the quick attack button □ and the strong attack button △. The strong attack has a nice wide swing that's great for hitting multiple enemies if they try to surround you. You can also cancel the strong attack's initial swing with the Guard ability (press L1 at the right time) to chain it into another wide slash – handy for crowd control.
  3. 3
You'll soon encounter Beholders. These guys are a step up from the earlier enemies. The key to beating them is mastering the Perfect Parry. Guard with L1 just as an attack is about to hit. Two well-timed Perfect Parries will stagger them, leaving them open for a brutal Retribution (△) attack. You'll see two balance icons (◆◆) appear above them when they're vulnerable.
  4. 4
Successfully parrying or hitting enemies builds up Beta Energy (BE). You can spend this on powerful Beta Skills. Your first one is Triplet (L1 + △), which is great for interrupting enemies right in front of you.
  5. 5
As you fight, you'll also learn about healing items and your Rush attack (Hold △). This has a cooldown but is fantastic for closing the distance on a locked-on enemy (use R3 to lock on) or making a quick escape if you need space.
  6. 6
You'll also get a refresher on Slash (L1 + △), which is another area-of-effect attack that can hit enemies all around EVE.
  7. 7
Next up is the Brute (Elite Naytiba). This big guy has 9 shield bars (◆x9) and hits hard. You absolutely cannot lose this fight, as it's just you and Tachy against it. Most of its attacks, like its punches and swings, can be blocked or parried. However, watch out for attacks that flash yellow – these require evasion, not blocking. Its Double Crush is one such attack.
  8. 8
After you deal with the Brute, a new threat appears: an Alpha Naytiba. This black-winged enemy disarms Tachy, forcing a retreat. This sets you up for the next stage of your journey to Eidos 7.
Tips
  • Don't forget to use your Beta Skills (like Triplet) when you have enough Beta Energy – they can really turn the tide of a fight.
  • Keep an eye on enemy attack patterns. Yellow flashes mean you need to dodge, not block or parry.
  • The Rush attack is your best friend for both offense and defense. Use it wisely!
  • Perfect Parries are crucial for dealing high damage quickly, especially against tougher enemies like the Beholders.
You'll progress to the next area, Eidos 7, and continue the story.
