Walkthrough
  1. 1
After the opening cutscenes, gain control of Jill Valentine in her apartment. Interact with the sink in the bathroom for a scene.
  2. 2
Return to the bathroom and flick the switch to the right of the mirror to switch the camera to third-person view.
  3. 3
In Jill's living room, use the switch next to the notice board to turn on the lights. Collect the files: Jill's Report (1/56) and Investigation Notes (2/56).
  4. 4
Check the shelf to the left of the noticeboard for the file Unsealed Envelope (3/56).
  5. 5
Examine the counter in the kitchen area for the file Message from a Colleague (4/56).
  6. 6
Answer the phone in Jill's apartment to proceed.
  7. 7
After the scene, run down the corridor, duck into another apartment, and push a heavy shelf down.
  8. 8
Go to the living room and climb through the open window.
  9. 9
Go down the fire escape and climb through another open window. Nemesis will crash through the ceiling. After escaping, make your way down the burning corridor towards the fire exit.
  10. 10
Go down two flights of stairs and approach the ladder. Nemesis will catch up; keep running from him. When you get through the door at the end, the ceiling will collapse on him, unlocking the First Escape trophy.
  11. 11
Make your way down to the end of the alley to meet Brad Vickers. Follow him and press L3 to start running when prompted.
  12. 12
When zombies break through the fence, run over to Brad, staying to the left.
  13. 13
Head into Bar Jack. Brad will get bitten and tell Jill to get to safety.
  14. 14
Make your way through the alley, where Jill will automatically grab a pistol.
  15. 15
A zombie will appear; it's better to run past it. Duck under the falling sign and turn left into the next alley.
  16. 16
Head through the door into a warehouse to meet Dario Rosso. Interact with his locked container to speak to him until you unlock the Fuggedaboutim! record.
  17. 17
Pick up Handgun Ammo (x7) from on top of a barrel and leave through the other door.
  18. 18
Crawl under the broken fence and cross the road to a parking lot. Two zombies will appear as you approach the elevator.
  19. 19
Back up to evade the walking zombie, run around them, and take the elevator up.
  20. 20
Run towards the helicopter; Nemesis will appear. Jill will jump in a car. Press X three times to start the engine.
  21. 21
Hold R2 to accelerate and drive the car into Nemesis, off the roof.
  22. 22
During the subsequent scene, Carlos Oliveira will fire a rocket at Nemesis. This unlocks the Somebody to Lean On trophy.
  23. 23
Before following Carlos into the station, head back up the stairs. Find the Charlie Doll (1/20) between two vending machines and shoot it to unlock the Hello, Charlie! trophy.
  24. 24
Run back down the stairs and follow Carlos through the door he opens.
  25. 25
Follow Carlos into the railway carriage to meet Mikhail Viktor.
  26. 26
Jill agrees to help get the subway train moving.
  27. 27
Leave the carriage and find the file U.B.C.S. Ammo Crafting Guide (5/56) on the seats.
  28. 28
Head upstairs and search the newsstand for the file Tabloid Front Page (6/56).
  29. 29
Continue up the next flight of stairs. Collect Green Herb (x2) and Gunpowder (x2) from crates.
  30. 30
Combine the two Gunpowders to create Handgun Ammo (30 on Assisted, 15 on Standard) and unlock the Basic Chemistry trophy.
  31. 31
Note the locked box nearby; it requires a lockpick.
  32. 32
Head through the gate to a Safe Room. Check the table for the file U.B.C.S. Field Herb Manual (7/56).
  33. 33
Use the Typewriter to save your game.
