Welcome, survivor, to the most critical phase of The Hive scenario in Resident Evil Outbreak. Your objective is twofold: synthesize a potent antivirus to combat the T-Virus infection and then escape the infested hospital. This section will guide you through the precise steps, item locations, and strategies needed to succeed.

Synthesizing the Antivirus

The key to survival lies in creating the Antivirus-β. This requires specific chemical compounds and the correct formula, all found within the hospital's research facilities. Prepare for encounters with various mutated creatures, including the formidable Giant Leech.

1. Accessing the B4F Research Lab:
   • From the B3F Autopsy Room, head through the door marked "Research Lab."
   • You'll enter a dimly lit corridor. Be wary of Lickers and the occasional Zombie.
   • Proceed to the door at the far end, leading to the B4F Research Lab.
2. Locating the Antivirus Formula:
   • Upon entering the B4F Research Lab, immediately look for a desk on the right side of the room.
   • On this desk, you will find the "Antivirus-β Research Document". This crucial document contains the precise chemical combination needed for the antivirus.
   • Action: Pick up the document. It will be added to your inventory or automatically read.
3. Gathering the Chemical Compounds:

   Two specific chemicals are required: P-Base and V-Poison. Both are located within the B4F Research Lab itself.

   • P-Base:
     • From the desk where you found the research document, turn left.
     • You'll see a series of laboratory benches. The P-Base chemical bottle is prominently displayed on one of these benches.
     • Action: Collect the P-Base.
   • V-Poison:
     • Continue deeper into the B4F Research Lab. You'll find a small, enclosed area with more equipment.
     • The V-Poison chemical bottle is located on a shelf or another lab bench in this section.
     • Action: Collect the V-Poison.
4. Using the Mixing Machine:
   • The Mixing Machine is located in the center of the B4F Research Lab, easily identifiable by its console and chemical vats.
   • Action: Interact with the Mixing Machine.
   • You will be prompted to combine the chemicals. Following the instructions from the "Antivirus-β Research Document," select P-Base and then V-Poison.
   • If successful, the machine will synthesize the Antivirus-β.
   • Action: Collect the Antivirus-β from the machine's output tray.

Administering the Antivirus

The Antivirus-β is a single-use item. You must decide who receives it. While it can cure the T-Virus infection, it's often more strategic to use it on a character who is already infected and has a high virus gauge, or on yourself if you are critically infected.

• Self-Administration: Open your inventory, select Antivirus-β, and choose "Use."
• Administering to a Teammate: Stand near your teammate, open your inventory, select Antivirus-β, and choose "Give." Your teammate will then automatically use it.

Escaping the Hospital

With the Antivirus-β in hand (or administered), your final task is to escape. The primary escape route is through the hospital's main entrance, but new threats will emerge.

1. Return to the B3F Autopsy Room:
   • Retrace your steps from the B4F Research Lab back to the B3F Autopsy Room.
   • Warning: Expect new enemy spawns, including more Lickers and possibly a few Zombies in the corridors. Conserve ammunition.
2. Navigating to the B2F Morgue:
   • From the B3F Autopsy Room, take the elevator back up to B2F.
   • You will emerge in the B2F Morgue.
   • New Threat: The Morgue will now be infested with several Giant Leech creatures. These are tough enemies with high health and a dangerous grab attack.
   • Strategy: Focus fire on one Leech at a time. Shotguns and powerful handguns are effective. If playing with teammates, coordinate attacks. Avoid getting cornered.
   • Recommended Loadout: Have a powerful weapon (Shotgun, Magnum) ready. Healing items are crucial here.
3. Through the B2F Corridor to the Main Hall:
   • After clearing or bypassing the Giant Leeches in the Morgue, proceed through the door leading to the B2F corridor.
   • This corridor will likely have more Zombies or Lickers.
   • Follow the corridor to the stairs that lead up to the 1F Main Hall.
4. The 1F Main Hall and Escape:
   • Ascend the stairs to the 1F Main Hall.
   • Final Gauntlet: The Main Hall will be heavily populated with Zombies and potentially a few Lickers.
   • Your goal is the main double doors at the front of the hospital.
   • Strategy: Do not engage every enemy unless absolutely necessary. Prioritize evasion. Use Stun Rods or powerful attacks to clear a path. If you have any remaining powerful weapons or grenades, now is the time to use them to create an opening.
   • Action: Reach and interact with the main double doors to trigger the escape sequence and complete the scenario.

Common Pitfalls & Tips

• Virus Gauge Management: Keep a close eye on your virus gauge. If it reaches 100%, it's game over. The Antivirus-β is your last resort.
• Inventory Management: The B4F Research Lab has limited safe storage. Prioritize key items (chemicals, formula, powerful weapons, healing).
• Team Coordination: If playing with AI or human partners, communicate. Who needs healing? Who has the best weapon for the Giant Leeches?
• Ammo Conservation: The hospital is a long, enemy-filled trek. Use melee attacks on downed zombies and conserve precious ammunition for tougher foes like Lickers and Giant Leeches.
• Healing Items: Always carry at least one healing item (Herbs, First Aid Spray). The Giant Leech encounter can be particularly damaging.
• Don't Forget the Formula: It's easy to rush past the "Antivirus-β Research Document" in the B4F Research Lab. Without it, you cannot synthesize the antivirus.
