Armor Key Puzzle (Barry's Scenario)
This puzzle is crucial for accessing various locked rooms early in Barry's playthrough. It involves a specific sequence to retrieve the Armor Key without triggering a deadly trap.
- Location: First Floor, East Wing, Dining Room (after the cutscene with Barry).
- Items Needed: None initially, but you'll acquire the Armor Key.
- Strategy:
- Upon entering the Dining Room, you'll see the Armor Key on a small table.
- Attempt to pick up the key. This will trigger a trap, causing the ceiling to slowly descend.
- Barry will intervene, holding up the ceiling. He will instruct you to find a way to stop it.
- Immediately turn around and examine the small statue on the fireplace mantelpiece.
- Interact with the statue to reveal a hidden switch.
- Activate the switch. The ceiling will stop its descent, and Barry will be safe.
- You can now safely retrieve the Armor Key from the table.
Get The Cylinder Puzzle (Chris's Scenario)
This puzzle is unique to Chris's playthrough and involves manipulating a series of statues to obtain a vital item for the mansion's power system.
- Location: First Floor, West Wing, Small Art Room (the room with the large painting of a woman and a fireplace).
- Items Needed: None initially, but you'll obtain the Cylinder.
- Strategy:
- Enter the Small Art Room. You'll notice several statues around the room.
- Examine the large painting on the wall. This will reveal a hidden compartment behind it.
- Inside the compartment, you'll find a small pedestal with an empty slot. This is where the Cylinder needs to go.
- Now, focus on the four statues in the room. Each statue can be rotated.
- The goal is to rotate the statues so that they all face the central pedestal.
- Once all four statues are correctly positioned (facing inwards towards the center of the room), a mechanism will activate.
- A hidden panel will open, revealing the Cylinder.
- Pick up the Cylinder. This item is essential for restoring power later on.
Audio/Visual Room Number Panel Puzzle (Both Scenarios)
This numerical puzzle is a common hurdle for both Chris and Jill, requiring a specific code to unlock a crucial door.
- Location: Second Floor, East Wing, Audio/Visual Room (the room with the projector and screen).
- Items Needed: None, but you'll need to locate the correct code.
- Strategy:
- Enter the Audio/Visual Room. You'll find a locked door with a numerical keypad next to it.
- The code for this panel is not immediately obvious. You need to find a clue elsewhere in the mansion.
- Clue Location: Head to the First Floor, West Wing, the "Tiger Statue Room" (the room with the large tiger statue that holds a gem).
- In the Tiger Statue Room, examine the small table next to the door leading back to the Main Hall.
- On this table, you'll find a document or a small note with the number "357" written on it. This is your code.
- Return to the Audio/Visual Room.
- Approach the numerical keypad and input the code: 3-5-7.
- The door will unlock, granting you access to the next area.
