Walkthrough
  1. 1
Downtown: Encounter the Sledgehammer Punk in City Streets. In Shantytown, meet Godai and find a Sabu Statue. Downtown Park has a hidden Sabu Statue on the right fence (use a dumpster to reach it). The Transit Station contains a Sabu Statue and a Cat. The Junkyard has a Sabu Statue in the lower right and a Cat in the trash compactor area. In Rear City Streets, Naritaka directs you to the Subway Terminal. Find a Sabu Statue above Legal Drugs and a Cat on an air conditioning unit above the Pay Lots. The Back Alley has a Sabu Statue atop a dumpster and a Cat on a ledge.
  2. 2
Subway Terminal Preparation: To access the Subway Terminal in Skid Row, return to the Junkyard and speak with the Crane Operator. He needs keys from the trash compactor, where you must kill zombies while the compactor closes in. Once you have the keys, return them to the Crane Operator to clear the path to the Subway Terminal.
  3. 3
Boss: Adobo: In the Subway Terminal, prepare for the boss fight. Adobo is a classic Double Dragon enemy. Use hit-and-run tactics, as full combos can be blocked and countered. Jump to avoid his floor pound attack. When he attempts to throw concrete slabs, punch him to destroy them or pick up and throw the slabs yourself.
  4. 4
Merlin's Mystery Shop: After defeating Adobo, return to the Transit Station. A new path opens to Ocean Heights. A secret shop, Merlin's Mystery, is located in the Tunnel behind a gray door near a pillar.
  5. 5
Ocean Heights: Encounter Gamblers, who use long-range projectile attacks. Find a Sabu Statue by jumping from the Chic Buffet's top table to ledges above the door and sign, then along the top of buildings. Billy Lee's Dojo is also present for learning moves (though no new moves are taught here). Godai is in the Beach Storefronts. A Sabu Statue is in the lower left of The Beach, with a Cat on rock formations. Talk to Burnov at The Pier to get a pass to see Noize. Cats are also found in the Fish Market and Ocean Heights Park (atop the left wall). Vending machines are in the Theme Park.
  6. 6
Noize Information Quest: In the Fancy Hotel Lobby, talk to the Concierge to gather information on Noize. Visit The Beach to learn Noize's dog's name from Mihoko. In the Fish Market, discover Noize's favorite food. In the Theme Park, Kaori will reveal Noize's hometown.
  7. 7
VIP Passes and Boss: Noize: Return to the Fancy Hotel Lobby with the information to receive VIP passes from the Concierge. Present the pass to Burnov at The Pier to enter the Private Yacht for the boss fight against Noize.
  8. 8
Boss: Noize: Noize attacks with Guitar Hero-like projectiles and summons fans. The projectiles are weak but unpredictable. Fans are easily defeated. After the fight, a Cat appears at The Pier.
  9. 9
Sanwakai Tower: Take the unlocked path in Ocean Heights Park to Sanwakai Tower. Meet Godai at the Tower Entrance. The Yakuza (male and female) use long-range projectile attacks (kunai and Hadoken).

Side Quests:

  • Downtown: Godai asks you to smash four cars, with locations marked on your map.
  • Ocean Heights: Godai asks you to defeat One-Hit Tommy in the Fancy Restroom. Use hit-and-run tactics as his attacks are one-hit KOs.
  • Defeating Adobo clears a path to Ocean Heights and unlocks Merlin's Mystery shop.
  • Defeating Noize unlocks the path to Sanwakai Tower.
  • Completing Godai's side quests rewards you with progress and potentially items.
