Demolition Mode Guide

Demolition is a high-stakes, round-based game mode in Rogue Company that centers around planting or defusing a bomb. In this mode, two teams of four players, Attackers and Defenders, face off in a series of rounds. The Attacking team's objective is to plant a bomb at one of the designated bomb sites, while the Defending team's objective is to prevent the plant or defuse the bomb if it is planted. Unlike other modes, Demolition features no respawns within a round, meaning each player's survival is critical. The first team to win a set number of rounds, typically seven, is declared the victor. This mode demands precise execution, strategic planning, and excellent communication.

Success in Demolition hinges on effective teamwork and individual execution. Attackers must coordinate their pushes to a bomb site, using utility items like EMP grenades to clear out defensive positions or smoke grenades to create cover. Rogues with abilities that can gather information, such as Trench's barbed wire to slow down pushes or Phantom's ability to see through walls, can provide invaluable advantages. Defenders, on the other hand, must establish strong defensive setups, utilize their abilities to delay or repel enemy advances, and be prepared to retake sites if a plant occurs. A common mistake for Attackers is to rush a bomb site without proper intel or coordination, leading to easy picks for the defenders. Conversely, Defenders who play too passively and allow the Attackers to set up uncontested can find themselves in a difficult situation. The economy system in Demolition is also crucial; wisely spending your money on weapons, armor, and abilities at the start of each round can significantly impact your team's performance.

The absence of respawns in Demolition elevates the importance of every engagement. Players must prioritize survival and make calculated decisions. For instance, a player who is outnumbered and outgunned might choose to disengage and regroup with their team rather than taking a losing fight. Likewise, a player who has secured a kill should be aware of potential retakes or flanking maneuvers. Understanding common angles and sightlines on each map is also vital for both Attackers and Defenders. For example, knowing the typical defensive positions on a site like the one in High Castle can help Attackers plan their approach, while Defenders can use this knowledge to set up effective crossfires. The tension and strategic depth of Demolition make it a cornerstone of Rogue Company's competitive experience.
