Incendiary Grenade Guide

The Incendiary Grenade is a potent tactical tool in Rogue Company, capable of area denial and flushing out entrenched enemies. This throwable explosive deals moderate initial damage upon impact and then leaves a lingering pool of fire that inflicts damage over time to any Rogue caught within its radius. Mastering its use can significantly disrupt enemy pushes and control key chokepoints on maps like High Castle or The Reactor.

When deployed, the Incendiary Grenade creates a fiery zone that lasts for approximately 8 seconds. During this time, any Rogue standing in the flames will take damage. The damage per second is substantial enough to force enemies to reposition, making it an excellent counter to defensive setups or when trying to clear a bomb site. For instance, throwing an Incendiary Grenade onto the objective in Demolition mode can prevent the enemy team from defusing the bomb or planting it safely.

The Incendiary Grenade has a base cost of $300, making it an accessible early-game purchase for many Rogues. Its effectiveness is amplified when used in conjunction with other abilities or utility. For example, a Rogue like Talon, with his recon abilities, can identify enemy positions, allowing for more precise Incendiary Grenade throws. Similarly, combining it with an ability that slows enemies, such as Glitch's EMP, can trap them in the fire for longer durations, maximizing damage output.

Common mistakes when using the Incendiary Grenade include throwing it too close to your own team, inadvertently damaging allies, or using it in open areas where enemies can easily evade the fire. It is most effective when used to block narrow pathways, doorways, or the immediate vicinity of an objective. The visual and auditory cues of the grenade's activation are clear, so enemies will typically react quickly to avoid its effects. Therefore, timing and placement are paramount for its successful deployment.

Consider the following tactical applications:

  • Denying entry to a bomb site in Demolition.
  • Forcing enemies out of cover during a firefight.
  • Area denial in objective-based modes like Strikeout.
  • Punishing enemies attempting to revive downed teammates.

While the Incendiary Grenade doesn't deal the highest burst damage, its sustained area denial makes it a valuable asset for controlling the flow of battle and creating advantageous situations for your team.
