The Third Lamb is a grotesque boss found deep within the Dome of the Forgotten. This fight can be challenging due to the boss's erratic movements and powerful attacks. Proper preparation and understanding of its patterns are key to victory.
Accessing The Third Lamb
To reach The Third Lamb, you'll need to navigate through the treacherous Dome of the Forgotten. After defeating the Untouched Inquisitor, proceed through the area. You'll eventually come to a series of platforms and ladders leading downwards. The boss arena is located at the very bottom of this descent.
- From the Dome of the Forgotten Sanctuary, head left and drop down the various platforms.
- Continue moving left, dealing with the Whispermen and Court Sorcerers along the way.
- You'll eventually reach a long vertical shaft with several ladders. Descend all the way down.
- At the bottom, a doorway to the right leads directly into The Third Lamb's boss arena.
Boss Strategy: The Third Lamb
The Third Lamb is a fast and aggressive boss that utilizes both physical and magical attacks. Its primary weakness is its vulnerability to Holy Damage, so consider equipping weapons or spells that deal this type of damage.
Recommended Preparations:
- Holy Damage: If you have access to Blessed Weapons or Divine Spells, they will significantly shorten this fight.
- Poison Resistance: The Third Lamb can inflict poison. Consider equipping armor or rings that boost Poison Resistance, or have Antidotes readily available.
- Light Armor: While defense is important, the boss's speed often requires quick dodges. Lighter armor might be beneficial for maintaining mobility.
- Healing: Stock up on Red Flasks.
Attack Patterns & How to Counter:
The Third Lamb has a few distinct attack patterns you should be aware of:
- Charge Attack: The boss will often charge across the arena in a straight line.
- Counter: Roll through the charge or jump over it. The timing for rolling is crucial.
- Leaping Slam: The Lamb will leap into the air and slam down, creating a small shockwave.
- Counter: Roll away from the impact point as it lands. The shockwave has a small radius.
- Poison Breath: It will occasionally stop and breathe a cloud of poison directly in front of it.
- Counter: This is a great opening for a few hits. Get behind the boss or move to its side to avoid the poison and attack.
- Magic Projectiles: The Third Lamb can summon multiple slow-moving magical projectiles that home in on your position.
- Counter: These are easy to dodge by simply running or rolling away from them. Focus on avoiding these while keeping an eye on the boss's next move.
- Melee Swipes: When close, it will perform quick claw swipes.
- Counter: Block these if your shield stability is high, or dodge into them to get behind the boss for counter-attacks.
