After defeating The Coveted, proceed into The Pitchwoods. This dark, foreboding forest is one of the final areas of the game and is filled with some of the most dangerous enemies. You'll encounter creatures like the Heartseeker, which can inflict curse, and the powerful Witch of the Lake, a magic-user. The environment itself is treacherous, with many hidden ledges and long drops. Utilize all your Brands (Vertigo, Leapfrog, Dart, Redshift) to navigate its complex layout and find shortcuts. Your primary goal is to find the Sanctuary within The Pitchwoods, which is often well-hidden and guarded. From the Sanctuary, you'll eventually find the path leading to the final areas of the game, including the Mausoleum of the Obelisk and the Crypt of the Dead Gods (if you haven't fully explored it yet). Be prepared for relentless combat and challenging platforming.
