The Dart Brand is one of the most crucial Brands you'll acquire, granting you the ability to perform a powerful horizontal dash. This brand is essential for traversing large gaps, bypassing certain environmental hazards, and reaching previously inaccessible areas. Acquisition: The Watching Woods
You will obtain the Dart Brand in the Watching Woods, after defeating the area's boss. Follow these steps to secure this invaluable movement ability:
- Reach the Watching Woods: From the Sanctuary in the Village of Smiles, head left and descend into the Fungal Forest. Continue left through the Fungal Forest until you reach the Watching Woods.
- Navigate the Watching Woods: The Watching Woods is a treacherous area filled with various fungal enemies and platforming challenges. Be wary of the large, mushroom-like enemies that explode on death, and the flying spore creatures.
- Locate the Boss Arena: Progress through the Watching Woods, generally heading upwards and to the left. You'll eventually come across a large, open area that serves as the arena for the boss.
- Defeat the Mad Alchemist: The boss of the Watching Woods is the Mad Alchemist. This boss utilizes a combination of melee attacks with his staff and various elemental projectiles.
- Strategy: The Mad Alchemist is vulnerable to quick, aggressive attacks. Dodge his staff swings and be prepared to roll through his fire and poison projectiles. When he summons floating orbs, prioritize destroying them quickly as they can track you and deal significant damage. Melee characters should focus on getting in close and dealing burst damage, while ranged characters can maintain distance and chip away at his health.
