How to Beat Guardian Ape

Location: Sunken Valley - Bodhisattva Valley

Weaknesses: Shinobi Firecrackers (Phase 1), Loaded Spear (Phase 2), Mortal Blade (Phase 2)
Strategy: Phase 1 (Beast): Stay close to his legs and use the Shinobi Firecrackers to stun him, allowing for free hits. Deflect his sword-like arm swings and dodge his grab attacks. Watch out for his perilous sweep and poop throw. Phase 2 (Headless): He loses his head and wields a sword, gaining terror-inflicting attacks. His sword attacks can be deflected. When he does his massive overhead slam, perfectly deflect it to stun him. While stunned, use the Loaded Spear (pull ability) to rip out the centipede from his neck for massive Posture damage. The Mortal Blade's empowered attacks also deal good damage. Reward: Memory: Guardian Ape, Immortality Severed, Prayer Bead.
