To access the upper floors, you'll need to find the main staircase, which is currently blocked by a large, pulsating growth. In the Records Room, you should have found a 'Botanical Research Notes' document. This document hints at a specific chemical compound used to inhibit the growth. The notes mention a 'Storage Room' on the ground floor. Locate the Storage Room (marked on your map after finding the fragments) and find a container of 'Growth Inhibitor'. This is a volatile substance, so handle it with care. Return to the blocked staircase. You'll notice a small, exposed root system at the base of the growth. Use the Growth Inhibitor on this root system. The growth will slowly recede, clearing the path to the stairs. As you ascend, be prepared for a 'Screaming Patient' creature to burst from one of the rooms on the first floor. These creatures are fast and aggressive; use your Rusty Revolver to keep them at bay, or sprint past them if your health is low. Your objective on the upper floors is to find the 'Operating Theater', where the journal entries suggest further clues are hidden.
