Tips
  • Jewel Chao appear as different colors in the Tiny Chao Garden but are very shiny when transferred to Sonic Adventure 2: Battle or Sonic Adventure DX for the Game Cube using the Game Boy Advance Link Cable.
  • Buying Jewel Eggs is most worthwhile if you have the Game Cube games and can trade Chao between them.
  • If you do not have the Game Cube games, it is not recommended to abuse your first Chao to make it run away just to hatch a purchased egg.
  • Clear Chao can be bred by mating Jewel Chao with Shiny Chao obtained in the Game Cube games.

You can transfer Chao, Eggs, Fruit, and Rings from the Tiny Chao Garden to a Game Cube if you own Sonic Adventure 2: Battle or Sonic Adventure DX and a Game Boy Advance to Game Cube Link Cable. You can transfer a Chao from the Game Cube to the Tiny Chao Garden if the garden is empty. When transferring Chao between Sonic Advance 2 and the Game Cube games, Chao will lose their animal parts due to incompatibility but will regain them upon transfer back. Other learned traits, such as Kindergarten lessons and character preferences, are retained.
