Recommended Team: Sonic (Leader) & Tails (Partner)
The Egg Saucer is an aquatic boss that operates both above and below the water. The arena consists of a large body of water with a few small platforms above it. Your goal is to hit Eggman in his cockpit, which is usually exposed when the saucer is above water.
Phase 1: Underwater Attacks
The Egg Saucer will initially stay submerged, firing torpedoes or launching mines. Stay on the platforms above water to avoid these attacks. Occasionally, the saucer will rise to the surface, exposing Eggman. This is your chance to attack. Use Sonic's Homing Attack or a well-timed jump to hit the cockpit. Tails' flight can help you reach the saucer if it rises to a higher position.
Phase 2: Aerial Attacks and Submerging
After taking some damage, the Egg Saucer will spend more time above water, flying around and dropping bombs or firing lasers. It will still submerge periodically. When it's flying, use Sonic's speed to chase it and land Homing Attacks. If it flies too high, use Tails' Tag Action to get a boost. When it submerges, return to the platforms to avoid its underwater attacks. The key is to be patient and strike when Eggman is vulnerable above the water. Aim for 8-10 hits to defeat the boss. Be mindful of your rings, as falling into the water without air bubbles can quickly deplete them.
