Your final push in Subnautica! Learn how to deactivate the precursor gun, find the Captain's Quarters code, and build the Neptune escape rocket. Your end-game guide.

Alright, this is it – the final push! You're almost ready to leave this watery world behind.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
First things first, we need to shut down that annoying precursor gun. Head back to the northeastern area, the one near the floating islands. You'll find the gun there. Interact with it to deactivate it. Once you're qualified to do so, it'll power down and stop bothering you. Phew!
  2. 2
With that taken care of, check your radio. You should have received a message by now with the code for the Captain's Quarters. If you haven't gotten it yet, just explore for another in-game day. If it still doesn't show up, don't worry, it'll eventually appear as you play. But if you're impatient, the code is 2679.
  3. 3
Got the code? Great! Now, make your way back to the living quarters section of the Aurora. Use the code 2679 to unlock the Captain's Quarters. Inside, the most important thing to grab is the blueprint for the Neptune escape rocket. Don't leave without it!
  4. 4
Once you're back at your base, or wherever you've decided to build the Neptune, take out your Mobile Vehicle Bay. Use it to construct the first part of the rocket. The rest of the Neptune will be built upon this initial piece.
  5. 5
With the Neptune fully constructed, you're officially ready to leave. You can launch it whenever you feel like it to see the ending scenes and credits.
Tips
  • Finishing the game doesn't end your save file! You can load your game back up after seeing the credits and continue playing or even replay the escape sequence.
  • Do anything else you want to do in the game before you hop on the Neptune. This is your last chance to explore or wrap up any unfinished business.
  • When you're finally ready, get on the Neptune and enjoy the ending. You've definitely earned it!
