In Surviving Mars, efficiently managing raw materials is crucial for colony expansion and survival. This guide covers how to obtain and utilize various resources.

• Metals: Found on the surface and underground. Mined by drones or extracted.
• Polymers: Found on the surface. Mined by drones or extracted.
• Water: Found underground. Requires Extractors.
• Concrete: Gathered from terrain. Requires Extractors.
• Rare Metals: Found underground. Requires Extractors.

Resources are gathered from deposits or produced by Extractors, Factories, and Farms. Deposit grades (very low to very high) affect production rates. Surface deposits are mined directly by Drones, while underground and terrain deposits require Extractors. Drones transport extracted resources and manage stockpiles. Extractors also produce Waste Rock, which must be managed to prevent operational halts.
