The Heart of the Desolation — Sword of the Sea Walkthrough

The Sacred River chapter introduces the Water Rail ability, activated by jumping three times in a row, which is crucial for traversing gaps and reaching elevated areas. Your goal is to restore water and uncover hidden collectibles, including a secret shell. Pay close attention to green strips of air, as these indicate prime locations for using Water Rail.

Follow these steps to progress through the Sacred River:

Exit the cave and enter the temple.
Go around the corner to the right.
Use Water Rail across the gap with the green strip of air.
Go up the stairs on the left side.
Use Water Rail to float through the hanging gold lanterns.

Secret Shell Location

After gliding past the first set of hanging lanterns with Water Rail:

Go to the corner with a boulder and turn around.
Use Water Rail to glide onto the shark statues.
Continue gliding to the back wall where a dolphin statue holds a vase.
On the ledge around the middle of the statue, go around the right side to find the shell.

After activating the hanging lanterns, from the right side of the stairs, use Water Rail again to fly to the left.
