Ancient Echoes (Collectibles)

Collecting all Secret Shells, Frogs, and Fish Tiles is key to 100% completion in Sword of the Sea. Secret Shells are often well-hidden, requiring thorough exploration. Fish Tiles are typically found on high obstacles or statues, released by dropping onto them. Frogs are the most challenging, located at canyon bottoms or high peaks.

To locate collectibles, look for flag poles or banners, which indicate an interactive element nearby. For achievements like "Forbidden Valley Shell Collector" (find all secret shells in Forbidden Valley) and "Cleanse the Forbidden Valley" (activate all water spots), it is best not to advance to the next location until these achievements pop. The game saves only at the start of each new chapter, so missing a collectible means restarting the chapter or waiting for New Game Plus.

Sacred River Secret Shell 1: After gliding past the first set of hanging lanterns with Water Rail, go to the corner with a boulder and turn around. Use Water Rail to glide onto the shark statues and all the way to the back wall where there is a dolphin statue holding a vase. On the ledge around the middle of the statue, go around the right side to find the shell.
Sacred River Secret Shell 2: Go past the shipwreck to the very edge of the cliff and you will see a tall rock. Hop up to the top along all the levels using Super Jump, or go to the left along the dolphin statues and use Water Rail to reach the top. At the top, you will find a shell.
Sacred River Secret Shell 3: Go past the shipwreck to the very edge of the cliff on the left side. Once past the last dolphin statue, drop off to the lower ledge of the cliff and follow it forward. At the very end, turn to the left to find a cave with the shell inside.
Sacred River Poison Dart Frog: After activating the water orb on the shipwreck, use the kelp on the right side of the ship to boost yourself up to the waterfall cliffside past it. Glide on top of the boat to find the dart frog. This unlocks the "Poison Dart Frog Achievement."
Sacred River Chest 1: Directly behind the Poison Dart Frog, go into the ruins against the cliff walls to find a chest.
Sacred River Chest 2: From the first floating boat, jump onto the jellyfish to your right and then Water Rail to glide into the upside-down tower and find a chest.
