Bestiary: Enemy Weaknesses & Resistances

Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of Dahna's diverse fauna and the formidable Renan forces is paramount to overcoming the challenges in Tales of Arise. Each enemy possesses unique resistances and vulnerabilities to different attack types and elements, which can be exploited for a tactical advantage. This bestiary provides a comprehensive overview of common enemy types and their combat properties.

General Combat Tips:

  • Elemental Exploitation: Many enemies are weak to specific elements. For instance, fire-based enemies in Calaglia might be vulnerable to water or ice Artes, while creatures in Cyslodia's frozen regions could be susceptible to fire. Pay attention to visual cues and enemy descriptions to deduce their elemental affinity.
  • Physical vs. Arte Attacks: Some enemies have high physical defense, making them ideal targets for arte-focused characters like Rinwell or Law. Conversely, enemies with high arte resistance are better handled by Alphen's or Shionne's physical prowess.
  • Status Ailments: Certain enemies are particularly susceptible to status effects like poison, paralysis, or burn. Utilizing Artes or items that inflict these ailments can sificantly weaken tough opponents or control crowds.
