Health and Healing: Your party members have HP (Health Points). When HP reaches zero, a character is incapacitated. Healing can be done through items like 'Gels' (CP - Cure Points) or specific healing Artes used by characters like Shionne or Dohalim. CP is a shared resource for healing Artes, so managing it wisely is crucial. If all party members are incapacitated, it's game over, and you'll return to your last save point.
Combat Flow: Combat is real-time. You control one character, and the AI handles the others. You can issue general commands to your AI companions, such as 'Attack,' 'Focus Fire,' or 'Defend.' Understanding enemy weaknesses and resistances is key. Exploiting these can turn the tide of battle. 'Boost Attacks' are unique to each character and can be used to interrupt powerful enemy moves or create openings.
Exploration and Navigation: The world is vast and interconnected. You'll travel through diverse environments, from lush plains to snowy mountains and industrial cities. Fast travel becomes available for previously visited locations, making it easier to revisit towns for supplies or to complete side quests. Keep an eye out for treasure chests, hidden paths, and NPCs who offer side quests, as these often provide valuable rewards and expand the game's narrative.
Crafting and Equipment: Gathering materials from defeated enemies and the environment is vital for crafting new weapons and accessories. These items provide stat boosts and special effects that can sificantly improve your party's combat effectiveness. Regularly visiting shops and crafting stations is recommended.
