The Campfire: Campaign Walkthrough

Your friend's guide to starting The Cave's campaign walkthrough. Learn how to grab the Crowbar, bypass the Shoddy Barricade, and choose your first three characters.

Alright, so you've booted up The Cave and you're probably wondering why nothing's happening, right? Don't worry, the game's already started! You can move any of the seven characters around freely. The catch is, once you pick three to go into the cave, that's your crew for this run.

Now, this game is pretty clever and lets you skip some puzzles depending on who you bring. But for this walkthrough, we're going to do things the 'long way' to make sure you see everything. So, let's get going!

First things first, head to the right. You'll see a Crowbar just lying there – go ahead and grab it using O/B. Once you've got it, turn around and head left. You'll find a Shoddy Barricade. Use the Crowbar on it by pressing Square/Y to pry your way through.

Keep following the path. Eventually, you'll hit a spot where you can't jump over a high ledge. Look to your right; there's a box nearby. You can push and pull this box by holding down Square/Y. You'll need to use this box to get up and over that ledge.

Now, here's where you make your first big decision. You need to pick three characters to take into the cave. Once you've chosen them, bring them over to the bridge you'll find shortly after the barricade. You need all three standing on the bridge to officially start your journey into the cave. So, pick your team wisely!
