Heads-Up Display (HUD) Elements

Learn The Division: Resurgence HUD elements like health bars, armor status, ammo counts, and skill icons, including the Crusader Shield cooldown.

The Heads-Up Display (HUD) in The Division Resurgence is your primary source of critical information, providing real-time feedback on your agent's status, combat effectiveness, and environmental awareness. Dominating the center of the screen, you'll typically find your reticle, which indicates your weapon's aim point and helps with precision targeting. Surrounding this central element are vital indicators of your agent's condition. Your health bar, often displayed prominently, shows your current vitality and how close you are to being incapacitated. Adjacent to the health bar, you'll usually find your armor status, representing a crucial layer of defense against incoming damage. Understanding these bars is fundamental to survival, as depleted armor can be replenished with armor kits, while critical health requires immediate cover and healing.

The HUD also provides essential information regarding your combat capabilities and available resources. Your ammunition count is displayed, showing how many rounds you have remaining in your current magazine and your total carried ammunition, a critical factor in sustained firefights. Skill icons are strategically placed, often along the bottom or sides of the screen, clearly indicating which abilities are available, their current cooldown status, and which are ready for deployment. For example, the icon for your Crusader Shield will show a timer if it's on cooldown. Mini-map or radar elements are also crucial for situational awareness, showing the layout of your immediate surroundings, enemy positions (often indicated by red dots), allied agents, and points of interest within the urban landscape of New York City. This tactical overview is indispensable for planning your movements, avoiding ambushes, and coordinating with teammates against threats like the Black Tusk. Other elements may include active status effects, objective markers, and interaction prompts, all contributing to a comprehensive tactical picture.
