The Creation of Hyrule

Before time began, three Golden Goddesses descended upon the chaos: Din, Farore, and Nayru. Each brought forth a fundamental aspect of the world:

• Din, the Goddess of Power: With her strong flaming arms, she cultivated the land and created the red earth.
• Farore, the Goddess of Courage: With her rich soul, she produced all life forms and created the laws that govern them.
• Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom: With her sacred song, she gave the spirit of law to the world and created the order that sustains it.

Upon completing their divine work, the Goddesses ascended to the heavens, leaving behind the sacred artifact known as the Triforce at the point where they departed. This golden triangle, imbued with their essence of Power, Wisdom, and Courage, rests within the Sacred Realm, a dimension parallel to Hyrule. It is said that whoever touches the Triforce with a balanced heart will have their wish granted. However, if one's heart is unbalanced, they will only receive the piece corresponding to their dominant trait, while the other two pieces will seek out chosen individuals.

The Kokiri Forest and the Great Deku Tree

Our story begins in the enchanted Kokiri Forest, a secluded village nestled deep within Hyrule. This forest is home to the Kokiri, a race of childlike beings who never age, each accompanied by their own fairy companion. They are protected by the ancient and wise Great Deku Tree, the guardian spirit of the forest.

You play as Link, a young boy who, unlike the other Kokiri, has never received a fairy. This sets him apart and marks him as an outsider, despite being raised among them. The game opens with Link experiencing a prophetic nightmare, foreshadowing the dark events to come.

The Deku Tree's Plea

The Great Deku Tree, sensing an encroaching evil, summons Link to his presence. Follow these steps to begin your adventure:

1. Wake Up: Your fairy, Navi, will finally arrive to awaken you. She will guide you to the Great Deku Tree.
2. Speak with Mido: Before you can enter the Great Deku Tree, Mido, the self-proclaimed leader of the Kokiri, will block your path. He demands that you possess a sword and a shield.
3. Obtain the Kokiri Sword:
   • Head to the training area in the western part of Kokiri Forest.
   • Navigate the small maze of fences and rolling boulders.
   • Locate the chest hidden behind the last rolling boulder. Open it to acquire the Kokiri Sword.
4. Acquire the Deku Shield:
   • Go to the Kokiri Shop, located near the entrance to the Lost Woods.
   • Purchase the Deku Shield for 40 Rupees. If you don't have enough rupees, cut tall grass or smash pots around the village to collect them.
5. Enter the Great Deku Tree: Once equipped with both the Kokiri Sword and Deku Shield, Mido will allow you to pass. Enter the Great Deku Tree and speak with him to learn about the impending danger and receive your first quest: to cleanse the evil within him.

This initial foray into the Great Deku Tree serves as your tutorial dungeon, introducing you to basic combat, puzzle-solving, and the overarching narrative that will drive Link's destiny as the Hero of Time.
