• Heart Piece #1: Horon Village Shop
  • Location: Inside the Horon Village Shop, located in the central part of Horon Village.
  • Requirements: 100 Rupees.
  • Strategy: This is arguably the easiest Heart Piece to obtain. Simply enter the Horon Village Shop and purchase it for 100 Rupees. It's highly recommended to acquire this early in your adventure to boost Link's survivability.
• Heart Piece #2: Eastern Plains (Bombable Wall)
  • Location: East of Horon Village, in the Eastern Plains.
  • Requirements: Bombs.
  • Strategy: From the eastern exit of Horon Village, head one screen east. You will be on a screen with a lone tree in the center. On the northern wall of this screen, there is a suspicious-looking, cracked section. Use a Bomb to blast open this wall, revealing a small cave. Enter the cave to claim your Heart Piece.
• Heart Piece #3: Eastern Plains (Seasonal Change - Winter)
  • Location: Northeast of the Moblin's Keep entrance, in the Eastern Plains.
  • Requirements: Rod of Seasons (Winter).
  • Strategy: Travel to the screen directly northeast of the entrance to Moblin's Keep. This screen features a small pond or body of water with a tiny island in its center. Equip your Rod of Seasons and change the season to Winter. The water will freeze solid, creating an ice bridge that allows you to walk across to the small island where the Heart Piece awaits.

Woods of Winter & Mt. Cucco

• Heart Piece #4: Woods of Winter (Subrosian Dance)
  • Location: Within the Subrosian Hideout, accessible from the Woods of Winter.
  • Requirements: Access to Subrosia, ability to complete the Subrosian Dance minigame.
  • Strategy: From the Woods of Winter, locate one of the entrances to Subrosia (e.g., the one near the entrance to the second dungeon, Snake's Remains). Once in Subrosia, navigate to the Subrosian Dance Hall in the central-western part of the region. Speak to the Subrosian in charge to participate in the dance minigame. You will need to successfully complete the dance sequence multiple times. The Heart Piece is typically awarded as the prize for your third successful completion of the dance, not necessarily the first. Keep practicing until you master the rhythm!
• Heart Piece #5: Mt. Cucco (Bombable Cave)
  • Location: On Mt. Cucco, accessible from the Woods of Winter.
  • Requirements: Bombs.
  • Strategy: From the Woods of Winter, head north to enter Mt. Cucco. Progress up the mountain until you reach the screen directly south of the Mt. Cucco summit (the screen with the large, climbable wall and a cave entrance on the right). On this screen, look at the lower ledges on the left side. There is a suspicious, cracked wall on one of these ledges. Use a Bomb to blast it open, revealing a hidden cave. Enter the cave to find the Heart Piece.

  • Location: On the upper reaches of Mt. Cucco.
  • Requirements: Rod of Seasons (Autumn), Roc's Feather.
  • Strategy: Ascend Mt. Cucco until you reach the screen located one screen east of the Mt. Cucco summit. This screen features a lone Gasha Spot and a small, seemingly impassable gap to the east. Equip your Rod of Seasons and change the season to Autumn. A large mushroom will sprout in the gap. Use your Roc's Feather to jump onto the mushroom, and then jump across to the eastern side where the Heart Piece is located.

Sunken City & Western Coast

• Heart Piece #7: Sunken City (Diving)
  • Location: Underwater in the Sunken City.
  • Requirements: Zora's Flippers.
  • Strategy: Once you have acquired the Zora's Flippers from the Mermaid's Cave dungeon, head to the Sunken City. Navigate to the screen with the large pool of water located in the central-western part of the city. Dive into the water using your flippers. Swim to the western edge of this underwater area. You will find the Heart Piece submerged and waiting for you there.
• Heart Piece #8: Sunken City (Seasonal Change - Summer)
  • Location: In the northern part of the Sunken City.
  • Requirements: Rod of Seasons (Summer).
  • Strategy: Travel to the northernmost part of the Sunken City. You will find a screen with a small, dried-up pond. Equip your Rod of Seasons and change the season to Summer. The pond will fill with water, allowing you to swim to the center where the Heart Piece is located.
• Heart Piece #9: Western Coast (Ghost Ship Area)
  • Location: On the Western Coast, in the area leading to the Ghost Ship.
  • Requirements: Power Bracelet.
  • Strategy: Navigate to the Western Coast. Head to the screen directly south of the area where the Ghost Ship docks (or would dock). This screen features a small patch of shallow water and several rocks. Look for a single, liftable rock near the water's edge. Use the Power Bracelet to lift this rock, revealing a hidden staircase. Descend the stairs into the underground passage to collect the Heart Piece.

Samasa Desert & Spool Swamp

• Heart Piece #10: Samasa Desert (Digging)
  • Location: In the Samasa Desert.
  • Requirements: Shovel.
  • Strategy: Explore the Samasa Desert. Head to the screen located one screen west and one screen south of the desert's eastern entrance. This screen features a few quicksand pits and a lone cactus in the upper-right corner. Stand in the center of the screen, roughly between the quicksand pits, and use your Shovel to dig. You should uncover this Heart Piece.
• Heart Piece #11: Spool Swamp (Seasonal Change - Spring)
  • Location: In Spool Swamp.
  • Requirements: Rod of Seasons (Spring), Roc's Feather.
  • Strategy: Head to Spool Swamp. Navigate to the screen located one screen south of the entrance to the Poison Moth's Lair dungeon. This screen features several lily pads and a gap that separates you from a platform with the Heart Piece. Equip your Rod of Seasons and change the season to Spring. The lily pads will bloom and expand. Use your Roc's Feather to jump across the expanded lily pads to reach the platform on the other side and claim the Heart Piece.

Lost Woods & Northern Peak

• Heart Piece #12: Lost Woods (Gasha Tree)
  • Location: Deep within the Lost Woods.
  • Requirements: Mystery Seeds, Sword.
  • Strategy: Navigate through the Lost Woods until you reach the screen with the lone, peculiar-looking tree that stands out from the others (it's often found by taking the path: north, east, north from the southern entrance). Stand next to this unique tree and plant a Mystery Seed. A Gasha Tree will instantly grow. Hit the newly grown Gasha Tree with your Sword until it drops a Gasha Nut. Open the Gasha Nut. While the contents of Gasha Nuts are somewhat random, this specific Gasha Tree has a high chance of yielding this Heart Piece. If you don't get it on the first try, you may need to plant another Mystery Seed and try again, or reload your save if you're feeling lucky.

  • Location: On the Northern Peak, near the entrance to the Dancing Dragon Dungeon.
  • Requirements: Bombs.

  • Location: In the Graveyard.
  • Requirements: Power Bracelet (for moving gravestones).
  • Strategy: Enter the Graveyard from the eastern side. Navigate to the screen with numerous gravestones arranged in rows. On the bottom row of gravestones, locate the gravestone that is second from the left. Use your Power Bracelet to push this gravestone. It will slide away, revealing a hidden staircase. Descend into the underground passage to claim your Heart Piece.

  • Location: In the Tarm Ruins.
  • Requirements: Pegasus Seeds, Roc's Feather.
  • Strategy: Head to the Tarm Ruins. Navigate to the screen located one screen north of the entrance to the Ancient Ruins dungeon (Dungeon 7). This screen features a long horizontal gap and a few bushes. Stand at the western edge of the gap. Equip your Pegasus Seeds and use one to gain a burst of speed. While dashing, use the Roc's Feather to jump across the long gap to reach the eastern side where the Heart Piece is located. Timing is crucial for this jump.

Symmetry City & Goron Mountain

• Heart Piece #16: Goron Mountain (Goron Dance)
  • Location: On Goron Mountain, within the Goron Dance Hall.
  • Requirements: Access to Goron Mountain, ability to complete the Goron Dance minigame.
  • Strategy: Travel to Goron Mountain, accessible from the western part of Holodrum. Locate the Goron Dance Hall, which is typically found in the central area of the mountain. Speak to the Goron in charge to participate in the Goron Dance minigame. Successfully complete the dance sequence by following the Goron's movements. This Heart Piece is usually awarded upon your first successful completion of the dance. Master the rhythm to earn the final Heart Piece and complete your Heart Container collection!
