Heart Containers & Pieces of Heart

Bolster your health by finding full Heart Containers and collecting Pieces of Heart. Six full Heart Containers are awarded for defeating bosses, while the remaining three are formed by gathering sixteen Pieces of Heart. Four Pieces of Heart equal one Heart Container.

Heart Containers (Boss Rewards)

  • Forest Temple: Defeat Stagnox.
  • Snow Temple: Defeat Fraaz.
  • Ocean Temple: Defeat Phytops.
  • Fire Temple: Defeat Cragma.
  • Sand Temple: Defeat Skeldritch.
  • Tower of Spirits (Final Boss): Defeat Malladus.

Pieces of Heart (16 Total)

  • Abyssal Woods: Found near the Forest Temple entrance. Use the Whirlwind on tall grass.
  • Forest Sanctuary: Play the Song of Birds near the entrance; a bird will drop it.
  • Hyrule Castle Town: Southwest corner; bomb a cracked wall to find a chest.
  • Whittleton: Reward from the grateful father after completing the "Lost in the Woods" quest.
  • Anouki Village: Inside the Anouki elder's house. Solve the block puzzle.
  • Wellspring Station: Inside the station. Play the Song of Discovery near a suspicious wall.
  • Ocean Sanctuary: On a small island. Use the Whip to swing across gaps.
  • Papuchia Village: Reward for completing the "Deliver the Letter" quest.
  • Goron Village: In a cave behind the shop; bomb the entrance.
  • Fire Realm (North): On a high ledge near the Fire Temple. Use the Bow to hit a switch and lower a bridge.
  • Sand Realm (East): In a quicksand pit. Use the Sand Wand to create a path to the chest.
  • Pirate Hideout: Inside the hideout after defeating pirates. Thoroughly search all rooms.
  • Trading Post: Purchase from the merchant for 2,000 Rupees.
  • Take 'Em All On! (Forest Realm): Reward for completing the challenge.
  • Take 'Em All On! (Snow Realm): Reward for completing the challenge.

Train Parts

Enhance your Spirit Train's capabilities with various parts. These upgrades improve speed, defense, and utility, crucial for navigating Hyrule and completing quests.

Train Carriages (3 Total)

  • Passenger Car: Received from Alfonzo after the first Forest Temple mission. For transporting passengers.
  • Freight Car: Reward for completing the "Deliver the Mail" side quest. For transporting goods.
  • Cannon Car: Purchase from the Goron Merchant in Goron Village for 5,000 Rupees. Equips your train with a cannon.

Train Upgrades (Engines, Armor, Wheels, etc.)

  • Steel Train Car: Reward for "Lost in the Woods" side quest. Increases train defense.
  • Iron Train Car: Purchase from Papuchia Village merchant for 8,000 Rupees. Further increases defense.
  • Golden Train Car: Found in a hidden chest in the Sand Realm. Ultimate defense upgrade.
  • Turbo Engine: Reward for a high score in the "Target Practice" mini-game at the Trading Post. Increases top speed.
  • Heavy Wheels: Found in a chest in the Snow Realm after a specific ice block puzzle. Improves traction.
  • Reinforced Boiler: Purchase from the Goron Merchant in Goron Village for 7,500 Rupees. Increases durability.
