This section details the precise locations and acquisition methods for many of the essential and valuable items you'll encounter throughout your adventure in Hyrule. Knowing where to find these crucial tools and upgrades will significantly aid your progress and allow you to uncover all of the game's secrets.

Key Items & Equipment

• Gust Jar:
  • Location: Deepwood Shrine.
  • Strategy: This item is a mandatory acquisition within the first dungeon. After navigating through the initial rooms and defeating the various Pesto enemies, you will find the Gust Jar in a chest located in the large central room on the first floor (F1). You'll need to use it immediately to clear away the large spider webs blocking your path and to cross gaps by sucking in the air.
• Cane of Pacci:
  • Location: Cave of Flames.
  • Strategy: The Cane of Pacci is another dungeon-specific item. It's found in a chest on the second floor (F2) of the Cave of Flames. You'll typically acquire it after solving a series of block puzzles and defeating some enemies that require its unique ability to flip objects. Use it to flip overturned mine carts and activate switches.
• Bow:
  • Location: Fortress of Winds.
  • Strategy: The Bow is located within the Fortress of Winds, specifically on the second floor (F2). You'll need to navigate through several rooms filled with Moblins and other enemies. The chest containing the Bow is usually found after a sequence involving moving platforms or a mini-boss encounter. It's essential for hitting distant targets and activating switches.
• Mole Mitts:
  • Location: Mount Crena.
  • Strategy: These powerful digging tools are found in a cave system on Mount Crena. After reaching the summit and solving the puzzle involving the Minish-sized hole, you will gain access to a larger cave. The Mole Mitts are typically found in a chest after a short digging sequence, allowing you to burrow through soft earth walls.
• Flippers:
  • Location: Lake Hylia.
  • Strategy: The Flippers are purchased from a merchant in a small house located in the southeastern part of Lake Hylia. You'll need to pay a sum of 200 Rupees to acquire them. Make sure you have enough currency saved up before attempting to purchase them. These allow Link to swim in deep water.
• Roc's Cape:
  • Location: Palace of Winds.
  • Strategy: The Roc's Cape is found in the Palace of Winds, a challenging dungeon. It's located in a chest on one of the higher floors, often after a complex series of wind-based puzzles and platforming challenges. This item grants Link the ability to jump and glide, reaching previously inaccessible areas.

Heart Pieces

Collecting four Heart Pieces will combine to form one full Heart Container, increasing Link's maximum health. There are 44 Heart Pieces scattered throughout Hyrule.

• Heart Piece #1:
  • Location: Hyrule Town.
  • Strategy: After gaining the ability to fuse Kinstones, fuse with the Hurdy-Gurdy Man in Hyrule Town (he's usually near the fountain). This fusion will cause a tree stump to appear in the northeast corner of Hyrule Town. Shrink down using the stump and enter the small cave to find the Heart Piece.
• Heart Piece #2:
  • Location: South Hyrule Field.
  • Strategy: In the southeastern part of South Hyrule Field, there's a small cave entrance blocked by rocks. Use a Bomb to clear the entrance. Inside, you'll find the Heart Piece readily available.
• Heart Piece #3:
  • Location: Eastern Hills.
  • Strategy: In the Eastern Hills, look for a small pond with lily pads. Use the Gust Jar to pull yourself across the lily pads to reach a small island in the center, where the Heart Piece awaits.
• Heart Piece #4:
  • Location: Castor Wilds.
  • Strategy: Once you have the Pegasus Boots, dash across the quicksand in the northern part of Castor Wilds to reach a small, isolated area. The Heart Piece is located there.

Bottle Locations

Bottles are incredibly useful for storing potions, fairies, or other consumable items.

• Bottle #1:
  • Location: Hyrule Town.
  • Strategy: Purchase this bottle from the merchant in the Hyrule Town market for 100 Rupees. It's available early in the game and is a wise investment.
• Bottle #2:
  • Location: Lon Lon Ranch.
  • Strategy: After obtaining the Cane of Pacci, head to Lon Lon Ranch. There's a small cave entrance on the western side of the ranch, blocked by a large, overturned pot. Use the Cane of Pacci to flip the pot, revealing the entrance. Inside, you'll find the second Bottle.
• Bottle #3:
  • Location: Veil Falls.
  • Strategy: This bottle is a reward for completing a specific Kinstone Fusion. Fuse Kinstones with the Business Scrub in the cave behind the waterfall in Veil Falls. This will cause a chest to appear on a nearby ledge containing the Bottle.
