Cheat Result

Unlock powerful cheats in The Sims 2, including money cheats like kaching for §1,000 and motherlode for §50,000.

Available Cheats:

• kaching: Grants §1,000.
• motherlode: Grants §50,000.
• intProp maxNumOfVisitingSim #: Changes the number of guests that can be invited to a party. Replace # with your desired number.
• boolProp snapObjectsToGrid true / false: Allows you to place objects off the grid. Choose true or false.
• help: Displays all available cheats.
• help : Shows help on a specific cheat code.
• exit: Closes the cheat console.
• expand: Expands the cheat console.
• deleteAllCharacters: Removes all Sims in neighborhood view.
• TerrainType desert / temperate: Changes the terrain type to desert or temperate.
• moveObjects on / off: Allows you to move and delete everything.
• StretchSkeleton: Alters your Sim's appearance.
• faceBlendLimits on / off: Removes game corrections that can result in unusual-looking children.
• aging on / off: Turns Sim aging on or off.
• autoPatch on / off: Turns automatic patching on or off.
• slowMotion on / off: Turns slow motion on or off.
• Vsync on / off: Can increase performance with some video cards.
• boolProp enablePostProcessing true / false: Enables or disables post-processing visual effects.
• bloom <r g b x>: Applies a blur effect.
• vignette (center X center Y x): Applies a centered blur effect.
• filmGrain (0.0 - 1.0): Enables grain or noise effect.
• letterBox (0.0 - 0.4): Enables a letterbox effect.

Bugs and Glitches:

The Sims 2, like any game, has some bugs:

• Cooking Bug: At cooking skill level 10, you may be unable to cook anything beyond the first level.
• Kidnapper!?!: Visitors might take babies or toddlers when they leave and they may never return.
• Lazy Maid: Hired maids may not empty the trash compactor.
• Art Bug: You can create custom paintings by editing snapshot files in an image editor. Find snapshots in My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Storytelling.
• Invisible Sim: A Sim brought home from a career may be invisible. You can fix this by inviting another guest and saying goodbye to all guests, or by killing the invisible Sim.
• Meditate: If a Sim meditates while on the toilet, others will believe the toilet is occupied and won't use it.
• Grow Old Fast!: A teenager can rapidly age into an elder if the game is saved and loaded at specific times around their birthday.
• Serve the Ghost: Serving meals between 8 pm and 6 am will result in a plate being set for any active ghosts, though they cannot eat it.
• Not in Use Couch: A couch may become unusable, unmovable, and unsellable. To fix this, move out and back in, or use the moveObjects on cheat.
• Unable Want: Teenagers may have a want to write a novel, which is currently impossible due to age restrictions. A patch may address this.
